"I really like Rosamund Lupton's writing. Sister is still my favorite, but I enjoyed this one and Aterwards as well. I was not really familiar with the Dalton Highway (having never watched Ice Road Truckers :)) and found it interesting to learn more about it and what it's like up there. What was harder for me to understand was how someone who had never done it before could just hop behind the wheel of a truck equipped to travel the Dalton Highway and take off.

I enjoyed the narrative provided by Ruby and found her commentary on the place as well as her own deafness well done. I'm not a fan of the cold and the descriptions of what that level of cold feels like ensured that I will never find myself above the Arctic Circle!"
