"I’m convinced Ursula LeGuin can (could 😭) do no wrong in her writing, and this is one of my favorites by her. The worlds and cultures and varieties of people and genders and landscapes (okay, I’m redundant here) she presents to the reader are so rich and layered and thoughtful. If you haven’t read this one yet, you’re in for a treat. If you’ve read it and wish you could read it for the first time again, that second go around won’t fall too far from the experience of that first read, go for it."

"I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. The fictional world it takes place on is well-construed and allows the author to achieve beautiful explorations about politics, relationships, and self-fulfillment. It’s no wonder it has withstood the test of time; the themes are universal and applicable even to contemporary society. Well worth the read or listen. This is one I may even come back to someday. "
