PRE-ORDER THE NEW ALI HAZELWOOD NOVEL NOW!From the author of tiktok sensations and global bestsellers The Love Hypothesis and Love on the BrainRival physicists collide in a vortex of academic feuds and fake dating shenanigans in this delightfully STEMinist romcom. The many lives of theoretical physicist Elsie Hannaway have finally caught up with her. By day, she's an adjunct professor, toiling away at grading labs and teaching thermodynamics in the hopes of landing tenure. By other day, Elsie makes up for her non-existent paycheck by offering her services as a fake girlfriend, tapping into her expertly honed people-pleasing skills to embody whichever version of herself the client needs. Honestly, it's a pretty sweet gig - until her carefully constructed Elsie-verse comes crashing down. Because Jack Smith, the annoyingly attractive and arrogant older brother of her favourite client, turns out to be the cold-hearted experimental physicist who ruined her mentor's career and undermined the reputation of theorists everywhere. And he's the same Jack Smith who rules over the physics department at MIT, standing right between Elsie and her dream job. Elsie is prepared for an all-out war of scholarly sabotage but... those long, penetrating looks? Not having to be anything other than her true self when she's with him? Will falling into an experimentalist's orbit finally tempt her to put her most guarded theories on love into practice? "I didn't like this quite as much as I liked The Love Hypothesis but it was still really good! If you're looking for a nice enemies to lovers romance I would definitely recommend this book! This book had me smiling like an idiot and laughing out loud, it was so cute and funny! I also loved the Adam and Olive cameo!"
"Idk this book is very mid for me. I really don’t like the girl mc.
How she got that far into her career with her personality is crazy to me. She seem very sheltered but then she’s not which doesn’t mKe any sense to me. Love the cameo tho haha
Also Ali is a swiftie for sure! So many lines that rip right out of a Taylor swift song lol"
"4.5/5 If you are a fan of Ali Hazelwood you’re going to love this book! The characters in this book are written similarity to all of her other books. Huge mmc tiny fmc. He falls first and she has some sort of dietary restriction or preference that defines her entire personality. This one felt the most realistic of all of Ali’s STEM based books/novellas up to this point! If you like audiobooks I highly recommend all of her books in audio. So entertaining I laughed out loud multiple times! There seemed to be a weird typo or error is chapter 20. Not sure if anyone else noticed it. Overall this is a great read!! It has a spicy section probably 1.5/5 spice level. "
