When girl meets Duke, their marriage breaks all the rules…Since his return from war, the Duke of Ashbury’s to-do list has been short and anything but sweet: brooding, glowering, menacing London ne’er-do-wells by night. Now there’s a new item on the list. He needs an heir—which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar’s daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she’ll do.His terms are simple:- They will be husband and wife by night only.- No lights, no kissing. - No questions about his battle scars. - Last, and most importantly… Once she’s pregnant with his heir, they need never share a bed again. But Emma is no pushover. She has a few rules of her own:- They will have dinner together every evening. - With conversation.- And unlimited teasing.- Last, and most importantly… Once she’s seen the man beneath the scars, he can’t stop her from falling in love…

"I enjoyed this book. Has by far the most erotic scenes in any book I’ve read lol. A shorter books but not any less good. There is good banter and wittiness between the characters. I do like the characters but there were times I felt a little annoyed by the male lead Ash. I understand his hardships, but sometimes his attitude was not justly. BUT even with all that I enjoyed the book!!! "
"Well sign me up as a card carrying member of Tessa Dare’s fan club, because I loved this! I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump, but this seemed to cure that seeing as I read it within the span of 4 hours! I laughed, I cried, and I want to read more, and really, what’s better than that?

Emma was so much fun to read and Ash hurt my heart in the best way. I don’t know if it was billed as such, but this totally was a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and to that I say YES PLEASE ALWAYS. So that helped too.

I was pretty convinced I didn’t like regency romance, but turns out I just hadn’t found my niche. And now that I found it I’ll just stay right here, thanks very much!"
