"This could have been so good, but it just wasn’t. The plot was there, the execution not so much. It gives you just enough to stick with it, but with regrets. Think Maas undertones with 1/4 the detail and limited vocabulary. There may have been a love pentagon (everyone loved her) when I get annoyed with a triangle in most books. I want to read the next one to see if it gets better, but I don’t think I can force it. "

"This book is equal to Throne of Glass for me. I know, I know I never thought that could be possible. An epic adventure, a love that journeys through different times/places, and a creating of a family that sacrificed for each other. The plot was great, there was heartache, betrayal, discovery, redemption, forgiveness and love and understanding. I couldn’t say enough about this series and it all starts here. "

"The story, the ****, the characters, the fantasy world building, the fact that it's a 5 series, so much raw emotion dealt with beautifully, was all so fantastic and I will scream about this series until my throat is raw. Love love love. The only thing I don't like is that each book leaves on such a huge cliffhanger that I'm left reeling- needing the following book asap. "

"it was okay. i read it and enjoyed most of it.

will have spoilers.
but the author stole so much from throne of glass, from blood and ash, and a court of thorns and roses. she took the FMC from TOG, the was she looks, her personality, who she works for, the small love triangle with the prince and a person in the kings army. she stole the MMC from fbaa, his personality, his motivations, lying the the fmc about being the prince that she’s looking for and wants to kill only to leave us on literally the EXACT cliffhanger that the first from blood and ash book.
she had some original ideas but the majority of this book, it’s characters, the plot, and sometimes entire scenes were stolen from other authors.

I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IS OKAY. just because you have a few ideas to change up a story doesn’t mean you can just copy someone else’s work. make your own characters. give them their own ideas. if you can’t or you don’t you’re not an author, you’re a THEIF."
