"An exceptionally well written story. I love the implied comparison of the newly emerging monsters to marginalized minorities in the real world.
I read the first one when it came out, and only recently learned this sequel was released. The gap between made it hard to remember some details from the first, I admit.
My only gripe is that it felt too short. It wasn't, but it felt like it. Certain characters hijack the scene suddenly, taking it from 3rd to a 1st person perspective of a character you didn't know was even present. This technique is a bit disorienting, but still wonderfully done."
