As a modern gladiator's daughter, Lyn and her family live by the rules of the Gladiator Sports Association. But those rules can turn against you. When Lyn's seventh father dies in the ring, his opponent, Uber, captures Lyn's dowry bracelet-and her hand in marriage. To win her freedom, Lyn will do what no girl has done before: enter the arena and fight her father's murderer-even though she's falling in love with him.

"To be honest, I wasn't too sure about this book but the description didn't sound too bad. It was free for my Kindle so I thought, what the heck, I'll try it. It was actually better then I expected. Modern day gladiators with roles and associations. I was intrigued by the Glad culture created for this book. A very interesting plot line. I really liked the turbulent relationship between Allison and Lyn. It reminded me a lot of my relationship with my mom sometimes. I also really liked the complication of having a special needs brother like Thad. Life is definitely much more interesting with someone who looks at the world in a completely different way. I also really liked Tommy and Uber. Both stand up guys and even if Uber had to do something awful, I would like to think that Lyn is on her way to forgiving Uber for what he did and maybe forge a relationship with him. I was surprised by the ending and a couple unsuspected twists thrown in. I really liked this book, except for some typos. If you like Gladiators and MMA fighting, this would be a book for you. Even if you don't think you are the type that would like this, try it. It will intrigue you at the very least."
