"The Rising by Ian Tregillis
4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was a solid continuation (2nd book) it does very little over explaining what happened in the first book to catch you up, and it gets straight into action.
Longchamp is my favorite POV MVP and I both laughed and winced at his extended vocabulary toward his fellow Frenchmen and women.
I missed the mark and thought this storyline would drag out more and I'm happy to say I was wrong.
Jax and Berenices journeys are nail biting and harrowing and the conclusion of this book makes me excited for the final book, I can't wait! "
