Commissioning Illustration

Commissioning Illustration is a reference for all art directors, or, indeed, anyone involved in the illustration business at whatever level. It starts from basic considerations, such as when to use illustrations rather than photographs, and goes on to cover every stage of the illustrative process, from looking at roughs through to assessing finished artwork and checking the mark-up for the printer.
