"This novel more than meets the eye. I enjoyed how Leah Johnson gave both female characters the much due respect, care, and gentleness they deserve. It is very easy to write off queer characters as being super sexual and confused, but this story pushes readers to think about how we all desire to outrun loneliness & how we all crave love even at the cost of destroying ourselves & others. The characters are layered. I don't particularly care for fluffy endings, but everyone should read this book."
"Such a brilliant book!!! I loved Olivia and Toni as soon as I met them, and found certain parts of Olivia deeply relatable. (Name not included, haha.) I loved the vibe of Farmland, and the whirlwind romance, and the emphasis on how music is such a major part of so many people. How it can bring even total strangers together. The only reason I didn’t give this a full five stars was because of Imani. I definitely recommend it, though, and will be reading more from Leah Johnson in the future!! ❤️"
"This was great (as I was expecting because You Should See Me in a Crown was so good) but I think the one thing I didn’t like was how quickly they fell in love. Like they were kissing on day 4… are you sure?
Other than that the story was very good and enjoyable :)

CWs: sexual content, sexual harrassment"
