But how can she move forward when the life she planned was torn away from her?Mike Dalton and LilyAnn grew up together, and he's secretly loved her since they were kids. Unable to tell her how he's felt about her for years and too unsure of himself to tell her now, he worries that his dream of being more than friends is slipping away. "<strong>Not fun to read </strong><br/><br/>Mike and Lilyann. The overlooked guy who gets the girl is my favorite trope, but this book really missed the mark. Mike loves Lily for 11 years while she struggles to get over the death of her high school boyfriend. I wanted to like Mike but he is a complete jerk and treats Lilly like dirt when he thinks she has a boyfriend. If a guy is friends with a girl for years and then gets mad when she dates someone else, he was never a real friend. So most of the book is spent with the 2 main characters not even speaking to each other. Then a event happens and all of sudden they're getting married. Huh? This just wasn't fun to read. I want to see them fall in love. These 2 were just immature and it read like high school drama."
