"I'm a sucker for a good nature documentary, but this series is so far above the norm that it is hard to describe. Firstly, I would listen to Morgan Freeman read the phone book and enjoy it, so to choose him to be the narrator was a stroke of brilliance.
Next, the amount of camera work involved in creating this documentary is phenomenal but then the lines get blurred by the awe inspiring digital renderings in CGI whenever they go back however many millions of years ago to show what life was like then. It's honestly difficult to determine what is true to life and what is artificially created by anything other than the time period represented. Other than being super informative, it's also heartbreaking to know that there have been 5 mass extinction events in the staggering history of our planet, and the human race is on track to be the sole cause of the 6th. For all of our intelligence and advancements, if we as a species don't learn from the past, then we will be doomed to repeat it.
I don't think that a mass extinction event will happen in my lifetime, but I fear for my children and their children after them. This series is certainly eye opening and I highly recommend it to everyone. 10/10"

"Where to begin? Saying extraordinary, magical, magnificent, jaw dropping, awe inspiring… none of these words capture this remarkable feat of a creation that is this documentary. Aside from a few CGI renditions, this is a global effort from extraordinary camera people who have the patience and passion to ask the hard questions and leave us with utter fascination and wonder. To top that, Morgan Freeman’s voice… I am in AWE. How are we going to care for this earth we inhabit and consume so much from? "

"LOVED the ending! Freeman is a bit too dramatic at times and it can be confusing when they jump around the timeline but overall this just might be the best nature show I’ve seen, especially given that it covers the entire history of our planet. "

"Morgan Freeman is just spittin’ the craziest sh*t 24/7 in this show. Every 5 seconds he says something insane and then moves on as if I don’t need further elaboration.
10/10, would make myself watch again💜"

"This documentary tracks the species on our Earth and all the challenges they faced to survive. Through mass extinctions and global weather changes all sorts of creatures adapted or died off. This is an immensely wonderful look at the history of our planet and all the life it has seen."
