How I Met Your Father

"(S2 review in reply) S1: I think if this was a stand alone show as opposed to a spin off, it wouldnt have done as well. It's not bad, I even like it, but it gives off the same vibes of a lot of other cancelled sitcom shows. The one thing that probably was a big help was not making it too obvious who the father is, which technically HIMYM didn't do but this one actively works towards saying it could be anyone, even the guy that's already married. Probably won't be your favorite show, but it's decent and has it's funny moments. "

"The first season is very rough. The characters are very one dimensional, the structure is barely there, and the jokes are very hit or miss. The second season is a marked improvement. The characters, with the exception of Charlie and Val, are well defined. The show is a lot more focused and the jokes are frequently funnier. Still, the show is decent and manages to live up to the legacy of its parent series."

"I give the show props for trying but it sadly doesn’t come close to How I Met Your Mother. I enjoy the story they are trying to tell and the original cast does lighten it but it just makes me wanna watch the original."
