"*This is more a review of the whole trilogy, than the actual book itself*

I would recommend this series to almost anyone! The only quibble I had with it was the WEIRDNESS. It had a great plot with FANTASTIC themes. But child labor?!! A tree-worshiping cult?!? WHAT?! It's weirdness is quite similar to the weirdness of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Despite these small things that had me staring at the book with a very confused look on my face, I loved the overall cottagecore vibes! It takes place in a BEAUTIFUL forest and has talking animals. YES PLEASE!!!"
