Hi, I'm Alexis Delaney. I'm your average 17-year-old girl. Except I can see the dead. And talk to the dead. And push them away and, well, help them move on. So..okay, I'm not your average 17-year-old girl. For years I've been struggling to survive the souls still roaming around. The shitheads always seem to find me. Moving from town to town every few months never helped either. More dead just always find me. But things are changing for me now. I'm moving in with my uncle Rory and cousin Tara. I'm finally going to be able to do normal teenage stuff I've been missing out on. Right? Well, if this one bitch of a ghost could leave me alone on campus that would be great. Especially since I haven't told my new friends about my abilities. Can you believe this? Five good looking guys practically adopt me on my first day of school, and I still think they're a bit nuts for it. Now if I can only just keep my life with the dead from mixing with my normal life, everything would be great. Yeah...I don't see that happening either. But I'm going to give it a shot. Who knows? It might work.

"I originally picked up this book because I thought it's going to be a creepy paranormal book. Was it paranormal? A little bit. Was it creepy? Absolutely not. The paranormal aspect of it was pretty weak in my opinion, the idea was great, but there was just too few of it. Did I still enjoy it tho? Yes I did.

I loved the relationship between the guys and Lexie. For a brief moment I was afraid that this is going to be turned into a Paper Princess situation, but thank god it didn't, they stayed just friends and became like a family. I liked the guys and they made me smile a lot. Throughout the book, for a long time I couldn't click with Lexi for some reason. I felt like the writer was trying too hard to make her appear this strong, badass character, and sometimes it worked out but there was times when it didn't.

I was actually in debate with myself about the rating it should get. Did I enjoyed it? Yes. Will this be up with my favourites? Probably no. Will I still read the other books in the series? Sure. So it wasn't a ''wow it so good'' type of book so it's not 5 stars but I did enjoy it, so it deserves the 4 star.

Overall I liked it, but it wasn't the right book to put me into that halloween mood that I was hoping to get when starting this book."
"I loved this. Its about a girl with a hard past going to live with her uncle and figures out that there are a few people out there that she can rely on. It switches back between a dark magical side pf her life amd the one shes trying to learn to handle. But its not one of the weak gilrly ones, shes sassy amd had got a mouth on her and made me laugh so many times. I lobe this book"
"I've never met her lol :) in terms of writing style, I found a lot of the ideas compelling, and the pacing is good. As with all writing, there are sections that could be improved. I am greatly enjoying this series so far (not all the books are out yet). I would even go so far as to credit B.L. for getting me back into reading again :)"
