"a really good, well written book! the story had you hook each chapter and it was so interesting following along Hyeon’s journey! I don’t really like to read history but I picked it up because I like to read books by Asian authors. I definitely enjoyed this book and would recommend! "

"I think this is June Hur's best book so far! I absolutely loved the main character and was truly on this hunt to find the truth with her. The light romance was a surprise but I LOVED it."

"This book was masterfully written from beginning to end and terribly difficult to put down. Having a main character who is terrified and even hesitant of finding the truth but pushing forward anyways is very refreshing from many cookie cutter characters I’ve read in books before. It’s especially neat that you can actually understand all of her actions and that her decisions don’t seem like haphazard devices used to simply push the plot along. Very interesting read."
