"This was a Little Free Library find and I’m torn on rating it. On the one hand, it was full of interesting facts, well-researched, and I’m feeling totally inspired to eat a less processed, more varied diet.

On the other hand, it was poorly written, disorganized, contradictory, and contained numerous grammatical and spelling errors. The author wrote like he had no idea whether his audience was fellow doctors or laypeople. Chapter contents jumped around wildly and would vaccinate between big picture and minute details. He would criticize low quality research and then extensively quote small scale observational or anecdotal studies. As well, there were some phrasings that felt problematic- he says “chinaman” at one point (it wasn’t necessary in context), as well as refers to ****** births as “normal births”. Frequently he will allude to a very interesting potential practical application (salmonella doesn’t develop on chicken in the home fridge) and then utterly fail to follow up!

Overall I would thoroughly recommend the IDEAS in this book, but not the actual BOOK."
