"I'm not sure if this book was better in physical or audiobook form. It was a little messy and stretched thin at times, but mostly fun. The ending was a cliché and maybe even a bit unearned, but overall, I had fun reading it."

I really liked parts of this, but the whole story was chaos and crazy hard to follow. I feel bad for any audiobook readers because I don’t think I would have understood a single thing without seeing the paragraph breaks and italics."

"This was my first novel by Blake and I’m not sure I want to pick up anything else by this author but I think her writing style might just not be for me. There were parts of this novel that reminded me of Good Omens by Neil Gaiman, who is one of my favorite authors, however the prose Blake used read rather pretentiously throughout most of the story. It often reminded me of a student attempting to sound smarter by using the synonym button to pick fancier words that don’t necessarily string together all that well. I often was wondering the point behind the word choice, vast cast of characters, and flashbacks instead of simply enjoying my time while reading."

"I really enjoyed reading this book! I definitely enjoyed Fox and Brandt's story, I normally wouldn't appreciate the misunderstanding trops but I feel like it was executed really well. I also really loved Viola and Tom's relationship. It was a bit unexpected but still welcome. Although I felt the main problem was easily solved and it could've been explained more in depth with it, I still felt entertained. "
