They came to earth-Pestilence, War, Famine, Death-four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.Ana da Silva always assumed she'd die young, she just never expected it to be at the hands of Famine, the haunting immortal who once spared her life so many years ago. But if the horseman remembers her at all, he must not care, for when she comes face to face with him for the second time in her life, she's stabbed and left for dead.Only, she doesn't quite die.If there's one thing Famine is good at, it's cruelty. And how these blighted bastards deserve it. Try as he might, he can't forget what they once did to him. But when Ana, a ghost from his past, corners him and promises pain for what he so recently did to her, she and her empty threats captivate him, and he decides to keep her around. In spite of themselves, Ana and Famine are drawn to each other. But at the end of the day, the two are enemies. Nothing changes that. Not one kind act, not two. And definitely not a few steamy nights. But enemies or reluctant lovers, if they don't stop themselves soon, heaven will.

"So I said it was rather boring because not much insanity was taking place like in Pestilence’s and War’s story up front. But it’s fine because towards the end I got Sparta kicked in the boobies with a plot twist and a cliff hanger from the gods of dark romance themselves. LT is NOT playing with this book, she set me UP and I MAY just have to purchase the hardcover of Death when it comes out because I don’t know that I’ll be able to wait for the softcover. "
"This is hands down my favorite book in this series. I think Famine was an extremely endearing character (yes that word choice seems odd considering he was determined to end humanity, but for some reason his inability to find humanity redeeming was kind of funny). Ana stood out to me too. I think making her a sex worker was an interesting choice on Thalassa’s part because it caused Ana to shy away from emotional intimacy. Paired with Famine’s reluctance to feel human emotion, this couple was so intriguing to read about. I think both these characters grew more as people than the couple in War’s book.

Thank you to Edelweiss for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the quip between the leading lady and the horseman — I found myself giggling during the read."

"“I cannot forget how you saved me and all you have admitted to me since. And I cannot forget how your skin felt against mine and the look in your eyes when I touched you. But most of all, Ana, I cannot ignore the way you draw me in, again and again.”

UGHHH THIS BOOK!
You know what draws ME in again and again? This freaking series. I’m excited to finish it, but LAWD, I don’t want it to end though.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!"

"I loved this book! I've loved the whole series honestly. I think the concept of a horseman finding love while trying to end humankind is so intriguing. I couldn't imagine how each book could be different from each other cause they're all horsemen with the same goal....but each book has exceeded expectations. I loved the relationship development as well as the character development, especially for Famine. This whole relationship was so fun to watch unfold! Definitely recommend! "
