"4.5/5 ⭐️ dual pov and available on KU. I love Liz Tomforde so much!! This is such a good book. Single dad and a free spirited fmc the banter in this book was really fun! Would recommend all 3 books in this series! With that being said I had two notes while reading one “If there is something for Kai to lean on he’s leaning on it.” I wrote this at the 20% mark because he literally leaned on everything he possibly could. After 20% i think the leaning tapered off a bit!
And two, “I didn’t even know popping a shoulder was a term for a shrug but I think everyone in this book has done it twice so far and I’m at 57%.” There was a LOT of shoulder popping in this book haha. This book is probably a 2-2.5/5 spice. There are only a couple scenes and this book is a slow burn but the scenes are super good and also relatively long. Can’t wait for the next book in the series’"
"Perfection. Literal perfection. Just when I think I couldn’t love this series any more, I do. Kai and Miller are amazing but then you also have the adorable and amazing Max and Monty and Isaiah and the cameos from previous books. It does not get better than this. There is just so much pure emotion and realness. I cried and laughed and just felt my heart being so invested in Kai and Miller. They have to be one of my favorite couples/families that I have ever read."

"My favorite so far of the Windy City series. Really liked both MCs and the found family dynamic. The supporting characters were a lot of fun!"

"<strong>Good not great</strong><br/><br/>I read the next book in the series before I read this one. I liked that one better but this was still good. I just didn't care much for Kai. He was too whiny, but Miller was great. The scenes with her and Max were rather best part of the book. The author is really talented at writing heartfelt moments for her characters."
