"Through the eyes of a young midwife, Jennifer Worth captures the lives and loves of the families in the 1950’s in London’s Poplar neighborhood. A number of the stories were included in the popular series “Call the Midwife.” I enjoyed both the book and the series, all 12 seasons, available now on Netflix."
"I hate to be this person, but the books are so much better than the show. I enjoy both and I know there’s only so much you can keep from a book. The actual stories are a lot darker than I realized. I couldn’t get the experiences out of my mind for many days after."
